How minimal can you go, the cardcase from Ox & Tree is basically a leather harness for your credit cards. The case (if you can call it a case) is hand made from 5oz leather and has a snap closure to keep your cards safe and a D ring to attach it to a lanyard. It will hold at least 10 cards and folded cash.
